Charles II c1660-1680.

The lower section having two further drawers, of a similar design. The drawer fronts are each decorated with rosewood to the centres, and framed with fruitwood, with oak drawer dividers. The different woods compliment each other beautifully, resulting in wonderful warm, contrasting shades and different wood textures.

Lovely lustrous, glowing patina.
The sides are oak panelled.
Standing on bun-feet.
With replaced handles, all locks are removed and wood filled. The drawers would have originally opened on side-runners, now removed and opening on base drawer runners.

The condition overall is very good antique condition, with general expected signs of use, minor repairs, minor knocks and bumps, right lower corner knocked with loss to the wood, shown in the picture. All expected signs of age and use, for an item of this age.
