Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Made entirely in camphor wood which is heavily decorated in hand carved foliage, chrysanthemum flowers and dragons.
The wardrobe is lovely, tall proportions, it splits into four sections, the grand cornice, two pods that make the hanging section and the three drawer base.
In very good original condition and the colour of the wardrobe is lovely and rich, again original.
The cornice features a large swan neck pediment with a central finial and hand carved decorations.
The two long wardrobe doors feature the Anglo-Chinese carvings, the other door having a beveled plate glass mirror which is in very good, clear condition.
Inside are two matching clothes hanging areas, with hanging rail and hooks.
The lower drawer section has two short drawers over one long, all having brass flush fit handles.
Each drawer runs well.
A very good example of an impressive, original 19th century antique wardrobe, unusual in camphor wood.
