A truly magnificent two-door wardrobe of the very highest quality. Each door is comprised of two tall recessed rectangular panelled sections that are hinged allowing it to concertina. Flanking the doors are further architectural panels – again with slim rectangular recesses for their full height. It has the advantage of being made to totally disassemble for moving up awkward staircases. Best quality timbers have been used throughout all of which retain their original finish with a rich warm colour and a glowing patination. This beautiful wardrobe – with a fully operating key driving bolts top and bottom to secure the doors – is of the finest quality we ever see. It dates from c.1850/1875.
