This beautiful piece of English cabinetmaking, attributable to the London makers Holland & Sons (commissioned to supply furniture to various Royal households including Windsor Castle), consists of rectangular panelled doors, three dummy drawers, numerous oak-lined real drawers, and plenty of half-height and full-height hanging space. It has superb quality well-figured timbers with a rich colour. This wardrobe is of supreme quality - the best we ever see - and represents a fine investment. English, c.1860. Fully working sliding bolts and sprung door catches to all four doors.
