Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1870s.
It has a moulded breakfront cornice above three full length beautifully figured doors with moulded edges. The central interior comprises of one sliding linen tray above a fixed shelf and three deep drawers with the original brass swan neck handles. The outer interiors have brass hanging rails and the left hand side interior benefits from one lower drawer, making this ideal for storage. This fantastic wardrobe stands on a break fronted plinth with beautifully rounded corners. The burr walnut has aged to a lovely golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
