As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fabulous quality Japanese okimono group depicting an elderly couple , he sits cross legged looking slightly worse for wear while she stoops to pour him another saki from the bottle in her right hand , her face paints a thousand words as she appears to be pouting something like "this is your last one " we have all been there haven't we ? , the faces are exquisite and of the highest standard you would expect from this artist, many bronzes on the market are wrongly advertised as Tokyo school , this artist is fully traceable as a second generation Tokyo school artist who's work is also on display in the ashmoleam museum , the bronze weight defies belief for its size, the large impressed signature seal translates to read "UDAGAWA TOKYO JAPAN",a fantastic okimono for your Japanese collection or just to add some humour to everyday life.

The condition is superb throughout.
