Large Country House Style Sofa by Gregory & Co C1860

Description

This impressive COUNTRY HOUSE STYLE SOFA, stamped GREGORY & Co of REGENT STREET, LONDON, dates from circa 1860.

On turned oak bobbin supports to the front and with original brass castors, this well-sprung ANTIQUE SOFA retains, what appears to be, its original woven FLEUR DE LYS cover and brass studding.

The frame is sound and there is wear to the fabric due to 150 years of use.

The proportions are generous.
