Description

Regency carved mahogany sofa scroll arm settee. Large and attractive, with lovely slender proportions and amazing carved tulip front legs....better than most. We are are unsure of the type(s) of wood used in this sofa, it is likely to be mahogany or a show wood (or a combination)....this one is really hard to determine.

The upholstery is old, a little home spun and has some wear and marks (a little bit of gimp is missing also). We have not inspected concealed components, although the seat is soft without any major lumps and bumps.

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. There are historic woodworm holes, that we believe are extinct and have treated for good measure. Period castors with wear (as you would expect).

Overall maximum dimensions: 210cm wide, 61cm deep, 99cm high (38cm high seat when sat on).
