Wardrobe Chest of Drawers Linen Press George III Flame Mahogany C1790

Here we have a stunning George III Mahogany linen press wardrobe c1790. As you can see the wardrobe has super colour and patina. There is an overslung moulded pediment to the top with a bead and cross banded frieze below. The doors have a cross banded border and decorative beading to form a fielded panel. These house two breathtaking flame Mahogany panels with super grain and colour. The door has its original working lock and key with a beautiful brass bead running the full length of the door a sign of great quality. Internally the space has been converted to a wardrobe with ample depth for modern hangers. The top fits snugly to its original base with a thumb moulded edge between. Below are two false drawers to give depth for long garments and then two long drawers with Oak linings. The sides of the top and bottom sections are solid Mahogany. The base sits on original shaped bracket feet. A beautiful wardrobe with super proportions in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx overall 50.5 inches wide, 79 high and 22 deep.
