Quality Georgian Antique Mahogany Linen Press

Dating from the Georgian period around 1800 this quality mahogany linen press is of lovely neat proportions. This superb antique has a moulded cornice with decorative dental moulding above two cupboard doors with moulded edges and beautifully figured panels. The cupboard door has a decorative brass key escutcheon and key with working lock. The interior comprises of five sliding linen trays making ideal storage. The lower section has two beautifully figured oak lined drawers with cock beaded edges and decorative pierced brass handles. This Quality linen press stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
