Fabulous Quality Georgian Mahogany Antique Linen Press

This Fabulous Quality Georgian Mahogany Antique Linen Press dates from the Georgian period circa, 1790 and has been constructed from the finest quality mahogany timbers. The moulded cornice has a lovely decorative dental moulding above two beautifully figured doors with decorative brass key escutcheon and key with working lock. The interior has six solid oak shaped sliding linen trays making excellent storage. The lower section has two over one oak lined cock beaded drawers with brass swan neck handles. This well proportioned linen press stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal, this marvellous antique also benefits from the original backboards. The Mahogany has aged to a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
