As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality pair of Japanese bronze quail , the well defined birds stand opposing each other with the male bird peering on as the female preens herself,the eyes cleverly picked out in gold and shakudo, a charming pair of freestanding quail from the Meiji period that we have displayed on a rustic wooden base (available to purchase)however they would also stand safely in a cabinet or on a shelf.

The condition is lovely throughout !
