French Painted and Upholstered Bed

1900 - 1920
Description

This newly painted and upholstered French double bed is offered in very good condition.

The bed is solid oak underneath but has been transformed with this off white farrow and ball paint and the grey and white fabric.

The headboard has swept shape and has a carved shell design to the top. The panel has been upholstered in a grey and white fabric and finished with antique brass stud work.

The footboard also has the panels upholstered and has a carved floral panel below the upholstery.

The bed stands on carved classic escargot feet, and has a swept carved side rails that bolt the bed together.

The bed comes with a newly fitted set of substantial bed slats.
