This ornately carved oak french double bed is offered in very good condition.
The bed has a panelled headboard with newly upholstered panels. The panels are set into a solid oak framework, the sides of the headboard have carved and fluted columns. Above the panels there is a carved and reeded panel, the headboard has a moulded top edge with a carved oak cartouche. The bed has carved finials in both top corners.
The footboard has a superb carved oak panel with a swept garland of flowers and a central shield. The footboard has a similar carved and reeded base panel, with carved and fluted columns. The inside of the footboard also has a newly upholstered panel.
The bed stands on turned oak feet, the bed bolts together with substantial carved oak rails.
The bed comes with a newly fitted set of substantial bed slats.
