A most attractive high quality 19th century linen press in mahogany. The two doors, each having an arch-top recessed panel, open to reveal a general purpose storage interior with a full complement of original pull-out slides. The base section is comprised of a chest of graduated solid-mahogany-lined drawers all of which have their original turned knob handles. This beautiful early/mid Victorian linen press – sometimes referred to as a gentleman's wardrobe – is English, and it dates from c.1850s – c.1870s.
