Description

This is an elegant early Victorian compactum wardrobe with a wonderful rich colour dating from around 1840. The wardobe is in really nice condition for its age and has good proportions, with an unusually lower design than is normal for these pieces so would suit room with lower ceilings. However, the robe has great presence and would furnish a large high ceiling room with equal grace. This has its original turned wooden knobs to the drawers and turned wooden hanging pegs to the cabinets as well as later sliding hanging rails.

The wardrobe comes apart into 4 manageable sections for ease of movement. The largest section is the central drawer cabinet at 42" wide 40" high by 20" deep. The side cabinets are 22" wide 22" deep and 60" high.

The overall measurements of the assembled robe are 81" in width 64" high, 22" deep.
