Description

An absolutely delightful 19th century linen press of unusually small size. This diminutive press/wardrobe, measuring only 34.5” (875mm) across the carcass, has two rectangular recessed panelled doors enclosing an interior having three slides usable in multiple grooves at different heights. A rail can be fitted for clothes hanging. There is an arrangement of graduated solid-mahogany-lined drawers – all of which retain their original turned knob handles – supported on a plain plinth base. This charming little linen press – ideal for use in a child's bedroom or in a guest bedroom – dates from c.1850s. It has an original finish with a rich colour and patina, and there is a working door key.
