Japanese Bronze Dragon Dancing Boy Signed

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual and charming Japanese bronze okimono which depicts a young man posing or dancing with a dragon masked costume, probably carrying out a theatrical performance .

The nice quality bronze is captured in fine decorative detail with a incised sugnature to the rear and an old collectors label beneath suggesting the artist as "Hozan Yoshiyama" unverified by ourselves.

The condition of this figure is superb with only minor age related patination , a great bronze okimono !
