Two-door Heal's Wardrobe

Description

A very fine two-door 19th century wardrobe in mahogany. This beautiful example – by the highly respected manufacturers/retailers Heal & Co of London – consists of rectangular panelled doors concealing a full width hanging compartment with a deep drawer at low level. There is a protruding cornice and a simple plinth base support. It is of the highest quality and has the added advantage of being able to break down into individual parts for moving up virtually any staircase. There are fully functioning sliding door bolts to the left hand door and a working sprung catch to the right hand door. English, c.1870s.
