Description

very striking georgian mahogany linen press.

the top with lowered cornice over fabulous inlaid panelled doors which open to interior fitted with five pull out sliding trays, these can be removed and a hanging rail fitted if required.

the base fitted with two short and two long drawers with later brass handles and raised on shaped bracket feet.

normal signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and use (i.e. shrinkage split to the bottom of one side, usual scuffs / marks ) but overall this extremely handsome press is in very good condition, the mahogany is beautifully figured and has a very pleasing rich colour and patination and is not done justice by the photographs.
