Beautifully Figured George III Antique Mahogany Linen Press

Dating from ca. 1780 this Beautifully Figured George III Antique Mahogany Linen Press has a moulded cornice with decorative inlay banding, sitting above two beautifully figured doors, with brass clash mould, key and working lock. The interior has five mahogany lined original sliding linen trays and benefits from a removable later hanging rail, if you require hanging space. The base has two over two mahogany lined drawers with cock beaded edges and period oval brass handles. The press stands on splayed bracket feet and splits into three sections for ease of removal. The mahogany is a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Width: 130 cm / 51 inches

Depth: 59 cm / 23 inches
