Settle Bench Settee George III Panel Back Oak C1770

Here we have a wonderful example of a George III Oak panel back settle c1770. As you can see the settle has super colour and patina. The settle as you would expect is of pegged mortice and tenon construction. There is an overslung top with moulded edge beneath. Below there are four exquisite fielded arched panels. There are drop arms on this settle so could be suitable for a table. The arms are beautifully shaped and have lovely turned supports. The short cabriole legs are a particular nice feature of this settle and there is a traditional tapestry type finished cushion. The seat has been profressionaly re-webbed and covered. A fine period settle in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 72 inches long 42.5 high and 27 deep.
