Russian Bronze Bear on Rock Crystal Base Nicolai Liberich

Description

We are delighted to bring to the market this finely cast bronze bear on a slab of rock crystal firmly attributed to the Russian artist Nicolai Liberich (1828-1883), the finely cast bronze bear rests stretched out with one paw supporting his chin, the rock crystal roughly cut to represent a sheet of ice , a fantastic study and ideal as an ornament or possibly a discerning gents desk paperweight.

The condition is great with only minor age related wear to the patination !
