Small Regency Chaise Longue C.1820.

Description

Delightful little Regency mahogany chaise longue or daybed c.1820. Of unusually small proportions, just 52” long, with an extravagantly scrolled top rail, loose cushions, and sabre legs with brass feet and castors. The carved papyrus bud and leaf detail to the front of the arm and legs is typical of the Regency period’s taste for Egyptian ornamental motifs. Very good condition, solid and sturdy with clean covers.

Dimensions: length 52", depth 24", height 33".
