This absolutely astonishing impressive gilded, carved bed would have been commissioned for someone of high social standing; fit for a king.Grand tall head end with lower foot. The carving is of top quality featuring a vase overflowing with foliate forms at the head and a golden shield with foliate detail at the foot. The bed posts at the head are spirally turned and crowned with carved pineapple knobs. The posts are are six inches in diameter.

A king size 5' x6'6" mattress fits comfortably inside the side rails or you could put a 5'6"width mattress on top of the rails if maximum sleeping area preferred.

Maximum height at head end 70"; maximum height at foot end 46", side rail height 21".

Overall length 91", overall width 68".

Price includes mini box base to fit inside the rails.
