The Vintage Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The bed frame is made from solid mahogany and carved. The centre panelling has mahogany quartered veneer panels and raised oval embellishments.
The bed rails are solid mahogany with sweeping and carving.
The bed stands on 4 substantially carved escargot feet.
There is a split on the headboard frame that had been glued and polished, please see photo.
The bedside cabinets are the best pair I have ever offered for sale, they are very detailed, with quartered veneers, carved legs, ornate intricate shell designs.
The cabinets have marble tops and marble interiors, they also both have candle slides. The cabinets also have superb quality backs with small shaped shelves. The cabinets even have quartered veneer detailing on the reverse.
The bed will come with a bespoke upholstered base.
