Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a moulded cornice, with Grecian carved detailing, above two cupboard doors with moulded edges, beautifully figured panels and key with working lock. The interior, having previously been lined, now reveals the original back boards leaving it exceptionally tidy and containing a single brass hanging rail. The wardrobe stands on a base that contains a mahogany lined cock beaded drawer with brass handles. It has shaped bracket feet and splits into three for ease of removal. The walnut is a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
