Small Victorian Mahogany Antique Double Wardrobe

Dating from around 1860 in the Victorian period this antique double wardrobe has relatively small proportions. It is topped with a moulded cornice with rounded corners that sits above two full length doors with arched mouldings, a white porcelain handle and key with working lock. The interior is divided into two sections, the right side has three sliding linen trays above three graduating drawers fitted with flush brass military designed handles. The left side has a pull out hanging rail along with hooks and a lidded hat box to the base (an ideal shoe tidy for today's owner!). The wardrobe stands on a plain plinth and splits into three sections making it slightly easier to manoeuvre. It is a warm medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
