This delightful Buffet is made of solid Elm and has the most wonderful character.

The Buffet top has rounded front corners, having to frieze drawers below.
The cupboard doors really are a delight, with beautifully carved and shaped panels. The doors open to reveal a single shelved interior, giving ample storage. With ornate metal escutcheons, inside bolt lock to the left door, and original lock to the right. No key.

The base has a pretty shaped apron with a beautiful shell and foliate carved motif to the centre.
Standing on elegant escargot cabriole supports, which are so beautifully and crisply carved.
Bees-waxed and polished.

The overall condition is very good, having general signs of use consistent with age. Historical repairs to the top,shown in pictures. Historical evidence of worm in several places. All very typical for the age of the buffet, all of which give it the wonderful character and sense of history.

Very heavy, solid, sturdy and strong.
