Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a rectangular moulded top above a full length door with central raised fielded panel, moulded edges and key with working lock. The interior is fitted with a solid oak pull out hanging rail, the design of which was patented in 1904, quite unique! The wardrobe stands on a moulded plinth with castors and the colour is a lovely warm medium shade of walnut with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
