Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The interior of the left side has a pull out hanging rail and original turned pegs while the right hand side has six sliding mahogany lined linen trays. The lower section has three deep mahogany lined drawers with moulded edges and turned handles. This beautiful piece of antiquity stands on a moulded plinth with rounded corners and still owns its original back boards. It splits into four sections for ease of removal and is a lovely mellow shade of maple with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
