The couch boasts satinwood floral string inlay to the upholstered arms and back of the couch. The back consists of a firm padded deep button backrest. Below, there are fine spindles connecting the base of the couch. The couch boasts a firm sprung base, which is comfortable to sit on. Below, the rosewood frame is reeded at the front of the couch. The couch stands on pretty turned feet and it boasts the original mug castors. The back feet are splayed which is a sign of good quality.

Condition Report:
The frame, back and legs of this chaise are completely original. There are nominal old use marks to the mahogany frame, which is commensurate with the age of this item. Importantly, the back rail and side arm are firm and there is no play in the joints. The upholstery and braiding is clean and free of marks, dirt or tears. Please note, any spots visible on the photos, is due to dust on the camera lens and not actual marks on the upholstery! The springs in the seat are firm and in good condition. The four legs stand firm on the floor and the chaise does not wobble. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
