The Antique Furniture Company has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It should also be noted that this wardrobe is extra deep on the inside.

It features a low moulded cornice which forms the ‘ceiling’ of the wardrobe with a frieze carved in the Elizabethan style with demi-flowers. It has four full length doors each with eight fielded panels and vertical lines of small carved lunettes. The doors do not have handles but do have decorative grey metal escutcheons, the locks have been removed from the right hand doors and the left door has a lock but no key. There is a wooden toggle to the inside top & bottom of the far left door.

The interior has plenty of storage with a long shelf and hanging rail to the left side and a short hanging rail and shelves to the right. The inside depth is very generous at 57.5cm (22 ?in).
Overall this a handsome and extremely good quality piece of furniture with plenty of storage space and in a style which would look charming in an older period cottage or house.

Condition:
Very good condition overall, as noted earlier some locks have been removed and there is no key to the remaining lock on the left door. There is a slight chip to one of the edges on the right side of the cornice and reinforcing blocks seem to have been added behind the legs.
