As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to be able to offer this most superb quality Japanese bronze tiger from the school of master craftsman Genryusai Seiya , from the Meiji period 1868-1912.

Sat in a seated pose upon a naturalistic wooden base, this tiger is superb quality and has fine detailing throughout, as you would expect from a bronze out of the Seiya school.

The condition is excellent and he is signed to a tablet on the underside of his belly , i guess the wooden base is an addition from the period but suits him a treat, we have therefore included it in the price .
