Description

19th Century Antique Very Low Slung Sofa.

An excellent quality, English antique sofa in the original ebonised and gilt finish.

Unusually, very low but totally original, this antique sofa has open arms which are supported by reeded and turned spindles.

The front legs are also reeded and turned and finish in the period good quality brass castors.

There are two lines of numbers, stamped in to a back leg.

This low slung antique sofa is very comfortable and is generously sized, it is currently upholstered in old but clean blue velvet fabric and buttoned.

The whole sofa is in very good condition, the frame is good and strong and the innards are in good order.
