The age darkened gold paint and the flat cane woven panel are in good sound condition
The Gesso and Gold headboard complemented by the foot board which is very low in the French style with carved finials at each side, this style of bed displays linens beautifully
This is a superb piece it is around 150 years old it is in good condition, though there is plenty of genuine shabby wear on of the age darkened gold paint
The bed takes a 3ft6” mattress and divan base, (we can provide a pine slatted base if required), the head board is 49” high and 4ft wide, the finials on the base are 25” high
