Fabulous Japanese Meiji Bronze Okimono Woodcutter 1868-1912

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to offer this super quality Japanese bronze okimono of a woodcutter standing on his original fitted wooden plinth base , it appears this character is thinking while taking a desrved break having stacked his wood so neatly, his double gourd drinking vessel in hand .

The condition is simply gorgeous and untouched only needing a light clean off , he is fixed to the base as he would have been when made , he stands at well over a foot tall !!
