Superb Large Japanese Bronze Elephant Meiji

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to be able to offer this fine quality Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) bronze elephant , the roaming stance with trunk swishing is so lifelike ,with original ivory tusks and fabulous detail to the skin this is as good as these get and definately 19th century not the later poorer quality examples, signed in a seal on his belly !

He is a large elephant in great uncleaned condition , a superb addition to your collection and currently housed as one of my herd !
