The wardrobe is finished in satin birch inset on the door and drawer fronts with the most gorgeous burrwood panels ,string inlaid with satinwood and ebony and then further crossbanded with crossmatched burr veneers ,the hammered copper exposed hinges and drop handles are embossed with hearts to match the central door carvings and the delightfull escutchions on the drawers ,all unique traits of the Shapland & Petter designers, the quality brass locks also being stamped S&P.
The central mirrored door houses further 18" deep hanging space while the right hand section houses a lovely smooth set of pull out linen press slides above the two graduated drawers .
The matched porthole door panels are deeply and crisply carved with art nouveau stylised floral displays ,while the hammered copper ware gives this piece its arts and crafts influence , the solid drawer linings are 1cm thick with the drawer fronts being over 2cm deep .
The condition is magnificent , you could find a minor veneer chip on a drawer edge and you could reline the inside with a suitable paper or material ,its ready to go into your home.
