Steve Sly Japanese Works of Art has dated this piece to the 1890s.
This delicate little two seater settee stands on painted ring turned swept front legs rising through further decorated columns to its swept regency style arms, the bergere back panels either side of a central splat further decorated below with painted swags and central cherub painted cartouches.
The condition of the settee is original, well used and as good as you could wish for an un-restored piece, the seat cane has been replaced in the past, ideal as an occasional bedroom or parlour settee and ready for immediate home use.
