A superb quality late Georgian/William IV flame Cuban mahogany wardrobe. The wardrobe is very much modelled on the form of a Greek tample with plinth base, two long doors with arched tops and mother of pearl escutcheon. Running down the sides of the doors are wondreful quality columns with carved capitals, the veneer runs down them in spirals giving the most wonderful effect. The top finishes of the temple styling with a tiered pediment. The whole is of the most wonderful colour and with striking flame Cuban mahogany all over and matched in quarter veneers. The wardrobe is in excellent condition and very useable, it has not been used with a bar across for hanging clothes but with hooks around the interior, but a pole can be added easily. The wardrobe is of a small size and collapses to make it easy to fit in any home, it is also highly decorative and could be used as a hall cupboard.
