Bronze Hunting Dog P.j.mene 1810-1871

Description

Wonderfull bronze of a hunting dog with what appears to be a whip in his mouth stamped Mene after the leading French animalia sculpture of the 19th century.

The condition is very nice although difficult to portray on the photo's , there is a nice sign of wear to the rim of the base as well as very slight rubbing on his back ,but not polished through or anything detrimental , just signs of light cleaning, he is generally good all over.

He is very chunky in the hand and measures about 11" in length and a generous 7 1/2" high.
