ActFurniture LTD has dated this Queen Anne Walnut Wardrobe to the 1930s.
Below are two long drawers with cast brass drop handles, giving plenty of extra storage.
It is crowned by an arched cornice with a finely carved shell and scroll crest, the doors are framed with crossbanding and fitted with an ornate pierced brass escutcheon, and the canted corners are fluted. It stands on elegant cabriole legs carved with shells to the knees.
The walnut displays a stunning burr figure, book-matched across the doors and drawer fronts, with a warm, rich honey colour that really glows.
It comes apart in two sections, the top and the base, which makes delivery and access up stairs much easier.
Presented in good condition, it is a very desirable wardrobe and the perfect addition to any bedroom, traditional or contemporary.
