Antique 1929 Silver Wrist Watch

Description

Antique 1929 silver wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 29mm wide excluding the later winding crown, and 29mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester (import mark), 1929 with a sponsor’s mark for the importer Selling Agency (a subsidiary of Dimier Brothers). The case is in good condition, a slight indentation to the back, and has the original owner’s initials along with the year 1930.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial looks good to the naked eye… if viewed through a jeweller’s loupe, there are a couple of faint hairlines. Original Breguet style hands, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Manchester based jeweller.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
