Wessex Antique Bedsteads has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Although there is no makers mark it is unquestionably from one of the finest manufactures the likes of say Winfield or Maple & Co.
It has a very pleasing original patina and therefore we have left it as it is apart from a very gentle clean.
In all a very rare bedstead of the finest quality.
