A beautiful and substantial British Art Deco wardrobe, dating from approximately the 1920s–1930s, bearing the original BCM/HL Registered Design maker’s label.

A particularly attractive period piece with a warm oak finish and elegant decorative detailing throughout.

The front features a full-length central mirrored door, flanked by beautifully figured oak panels with geometric inlaid decoration, characteristic of the transition between late Arts & Crafts and early Art Deco furniture.

Decorative banding runs vertically across the front and along the lower edge, while the shaped top is finished with a carved central motif.

The combination of natural oak grain, geometric detailing and the original mirror gives the wardrobe considerable period character.

Internally, the wardrobe provides excellent hanging storage with two clothes rails, together with an additional original coat hook, making it practical for everyday use as well as an attractive period statement piece.

The wardrobe is presented in very good antique condition, with age-related marks, minor surface wear and variations in the finish consistent with its age and previous use. The structure remains solid and sturdy.
