Oliver Sargent Antiques has dated this British Rail Pocket Watch to the 1950s.
Rare British Rail Midland Region Issued Railway Pocket Watch | Station Master / Guard | Limit No. 2 | Post-1948
R. (M) 20043. Manufactured by Limit No. 2, this impressive vintage British railway watch dates from the post-1948 British Rail period and would make an excellent addition to a collection of railwayana, horology or British Rail memorabilia.

The watch retains its original matching issue-numbered dial, correctly marked B.R. (M) 20043, which is particularly desirable. The dial is undamaged and remains well preserved, making this a notable example for collectors seeking an authentic British Rail Midland Region pocket watch with matching issue references.

The original deep-blued hands are also present and complement the dial beautifully.
Inside is the fully signed Limit No. 2, 15-jewel mechanical movement, which is currently fully operational and keeping time. The movement is clean and presents well for its age and service history.

The watch retains its original bevelled glass, which is in good original condition with some light service wear consistent with a working railway watch.
The screw-front and screw-back case is dent-free and remains in good condition. There is only light overall service wear, suggesting that the watch was well cared for throughout its working life.
