Description

This 1930s flight of narrow drawers is a particularly attractive example in burr and straight-grained walnut. Its bow front, crossbanding, compact footprint and elegant proportions make it suitable for almost any room, while the polished walnut gives it a warm, refined appearance. The six oak-lined, hand-dovetailed drawers retain their original handles and working locks and are supplied with two keys. We sourced the piece from a local home near our gallery in Dorking, Surrey. Though structurally sound and well cared for, the surface required restoration. It has now been traditionally French polished and waxed to enhance the walnut, leaving it ready to be used and enjoyed once again.
