Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This unusual small proportioned George III mahogany caddy top chest of drawers with double depth bottom drawer dates from around 1800 in the Georgian period. The solid figured mahogany piece has a caddy top with edges strung with fruitwood and ebony, and four graduated drawers on the front fitted with brass swan neck drop handles on backplates, keyhole escutcheons, figured veneers, and cockbead edges, though the bottom two drawers form a single double depth drawer. Matching figured timbers appear on the sides alongside a moulded base rail and original bracket feet. The wood displays a rich brown colour with a high-gloss finish and visible natural grain variations. Measuring 73.5 cm high, 88.5 cm wide, and 48.5 cm deep, the chest fits neatly into a hallway, bedroom, or living room as a compact storage unit for clothes, linens, or everyday accessories. Placed against a wall, the flat top surface provides a display area for table lamps, framed photographs, or decorative bowls within a traditional or classic interior setting.
