Antique 1920s Silver Elgin Hunter Pocket Watch

Description

Antique 1920s silver Elgin full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality 17 jewel grade 386 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has screw-set jewels, a Moseley patent regulator and a Breguet hairspring. The movement is fully signed and it carries the serial number 25,093,923 which dates it back to 1922. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1921 with a case maker’s mark for the English case maker, Aaron Dennison. The case is in lovely condition.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
